With the new schedule, looking at it the 49ers seem to have a rough schedule looking at face value. With it ranking the 7th hardest schedule in the League. They have one of the hardest divisions in football with them only getting better. They face just about every top 10 quarterback in the league including the objective king of the position Patrick Mahomes. With KC also being the superbowl champs back to back years.
Playoffs
The NFC seems to be the perfect place to be in if you were to choose between the conferences. If you look into it closer the scarier it gets. Outside of quarterback play the NFC clears the Afc in most position groups. The NFC teams also keep drafting well which means they are getting younger. What this means for the 49ers is they have a window that they might be able to get through if they come together. They will have to go through division rivals Seattle and LAR. They were projected to be terrible but managed to escape the bad positioning and draft extremely well. The Lions absolutely look like the team to be giving the 49ers a run for their money with Coach Dan Campbell elevating them to new heights. The Cowboys known as chokers still have an extremely good team on paper which is always something to look out for. Green Bay has always been SF’s little brother in terms of the playoffs the last couple years, with Jordan Love taking the helm it looks to be different looking forward. The Eagles have been the frontrunner during these past years for who is the best team in the NFC, new pickups make for a scary team.
2024 roster
Offense
On paper the 49ers have had the best roster far and away for the past couple of years. Here’s the names to look out for; Brock Purdy is the man lining up under center wearing 13. Ever since he stepped up for quarterback Brock has been making players for the 49ers every season. With his ability to stay calm and keep his poise making every right decision possible. He’s the main reason the 49ers are able to elevate possibly to a superbowl. CMC is the guy in the league he is the most valuable asset not naming quarterbacks in the entire league being last year’s OPOY. Mr. Multiple is used in so many ways for the 49ers and is the best running back in the league. The Wr duo of Aiyuk and Samuel are Top five best in the league the YAC bros are coming to make a statement. Kittle and the Oline are the blocking boys that make it all happen. Kittle’s versatility is the best in the league and with all these weapons it makes Shanahan’s offense work like clockwork.
Defense
The defense is the scariest part about the team as it has been the best unit since that 2019 season. Nick bosa the 2023 DPOY is the scariest pass rusher in the league in a league full of them. Fred Warner continues to submit his legacy as one of the greatest linebackers of all time and the best of this decade. Javon Hardgrave was one of the best signings for the team as he is one of the best run stoppers in the league. Charvarius Ward was the highest Graded corner in the league last year improving levels of above where he was. Talanoa Hufanga coming back off an ACL tear returns after his stellar sophomore season and is looking to make a statement. Floyd comes to SF after a disappointing season with LAR and is looking for revenge with his new team. Ji’Ayir Brown looks to come back from the rookie SB loss and make his first Pro-bowl.
Special Teams
The special teams are nothing to sleep on either. Jake moody looks to make his mark in the league with Finding his place on the team. Mighty Mitch as the team calls him continues to be mister consistent for the 49ers. The 49ers look forward to their special teams as it has won them games before Via 2021 Packers vs 49ers Divisional.
Gameplan
It’s safe to say that Kyle Shanahan’s west coast run first style of play leads to success for the 49ers. If they can use CMC to the best of his abilities but still keep him fresh for the playoffs then the 49ers will stay at the top. Brock stepping up even more for an mvp caliber season would push them even further. Wr’s need to stay locked in on themselves and their game keeps the team morale high. And the Defense just needs to keep doing what they are doing. Health has always been a concern for this team sadly but the more you see the more it’s become a necessary skill. The 49ers can stay healthy by using their depth to their advantage. We will see them in Allegiant Stadium come February.
History Follows?
Winning is no easy feat in this league and few names bring the amount of legacy and hype as the San Francisco 49ers. Five Championship rings for the 49ers in this league. With the help of some of the GOAT’s including Jerry Rice, Joe Montana and Steve Young. 5 championships has only been achieved by a handful of teams in the league ever. This has set a standard for the team that leads to excellence. As the hard part stands, winning the SB is one of if not the hardest/greatest achievements in sports. For the past couple of years that has been felt by the team and are hungry to take what they are destined for. With the future looking bright it looks very possible for them to be holding up the Lombardi in February.
